Cross Handle

AMS Cross Handles are connected to AMS Extensions – which are then connected to AMS Soil Augers and other samplers. AMS 18" Rubber Coated Cross Handles are made of chromoly and are coated with textured rubber. The 18” Rubber Coated Handles are available in 3/4" thread, 5/8” thread, Signature Series, Quick Connect, and Hex Quick Pin connections. 22” Rubber Gripped Powder Coated Cross Handles are only available with a 3/4" threaded connection and are only intended for use with AMS 6” and 7” Soil Augers.

18” Rubber Gripped Ratcheting Cross Handles are available in 3/4" thread, 5/8” thread, Signature Series, Quick Connect, and Hex Quick Pin connections. They are made of durable carbon steel and have an open-gear mechanism that allows for easy cleaning of the gear and cog. Quick Connect and Hex Quick Pin Ratcheting Cross Handles allow for reverse ratcheting. The AMS Hammer Head Cross Handle lets you pound your soil sampling device into the ground with an impact-absorbing hammer. AMS Slide Hammers are also used to pound AMS Soil Probes and Core Samplers into soils and sediments.
